About Our Blood Bank

The Blood Bank was started in 1966 to meet the needs of patients in this hospital. Normally patients were required to provide donors. The Bank was open round-the-clock on all days and was able to meet the emergency needs of the hospital. Depending on availability of stock, blood was supplied for patients of other hospitals also from time to time. A fully equipped Blood Component Separation Unit has been added to it in February, 2014.
