The Academic and Research Wing of the RKMSP

  • A “Uro Dynamic Master Class” was held recently on 22.06.2024 at both “Gahanananda Hall & Virajananda Hall” by the Department of Urology.
  • A “Workshop on Safe Infusion Practices” Was held on 04.05.2024 at Virajananda Hall.
  • A conference on “World Lupus Day” was organized by IPCA Laboratories Solution Ltd. At on 10.05.2024 Gahanananda Hall.

  • A workshop on Molecular Biology was organized by the Department of Biochemistry in association with Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Hospital, Kolkata on 12th & 13th July, 2024. Around 44 students from different institutions like St. Xavier’s College, Presidency College, Delhi Paramedical and Management and Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences participated in this workshop. Swami Atmavikasananda, Swami Gunamayananda (Monk-In-Charge, Laboratory), Dr. Atul Kumar Gupta (Principal, VIMS), Dr. Sanjoy Mohan Bhattacharjee (Vice Principal, VIMS) inaugurated the program.

  • The 36th Annual Scientific Conference of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences was held on 22nd, 23rd & 24th of November, 2024 followed by Indoor-Outdoor games and three pre-conference workshops. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) & BLS (Basic Life Support), ETLS (Emergency Trauma Life Support) & GCP (Good Clinical Practice) were held on 9th, 16th & 17th November respectively at Gahanananda Hall of RKMSP-VIMS.

    The Inauguration Program was scheduled to be held on 23rd November at Dayananda Hall. The program was blessed by the presence of Revered Swami Shukadevanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Saradapitha, Belur Math as Chief Guest along with the other dignitaries, Revered Swami Nityakamanandaji Maharaj (Secretary, RKMSP), Dr. Atul Kr. Gupta (Principal), Dr. Sanjoy Mohan Bhattacharjee (MSVP), Dr. Swapan Kr. Soren (Director of Health Service, Swasthya Bhaban), Dr. Sajal Datta (Organizing President) and Dr. Babita Saha (Organizing Secretary). This year Dr. Kalyan Kr. Sarkar (Dept. of Urology), Dr. Ranjan Raychowdhury (Dept. of Otorhinolaryngology) and Dr. Kusagradhi Ghosh (Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynaecology) were felicitated for completion of 25 years of their relentless service to this institution. All these three days were full of scientific workshops, paper presentations, lectures & discussions with enthusiastic students, doctors & researchers.
